Happy New Year from Total Living Concepts!
As we say goodbye to 2022 and welcome in 2023, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of our favorite projects from the past year. The project that was voted on for #1 based on our social media channels was Project Westview!
Before the renovation, this kitchen was small, and the spaces were all separated. It was functional, but not very inviting or efficient. That’s where we came in.
The Before Kitchen: functional, but small and separated.
Located in the west end of Barrie, this stunning custom kitchen renovation was a true transformation. We moved walls and doors to open up the space, installed a 13 ft steel beam to create an open concept layout, and added all new flooring throughout the main floor.

Opening the space between the sitting room, and the kitchen allows for more light, and conversation to flow naturally to the custom sitting area. There’s also an incredible amount of storage just off the side of the sitting area, so this family will always be well stocked.
But the real showstopper was the custom cabinetry. From the beautiful full sized island to the built-in microwave and beer fridge, every detail was carefully considered to create a functional and stylish kitchen. We even added a ‘bar area’ for entertaining.

Now, the kitchen & Sitting area are combined, with accents that tie both spaces together.
Overall, Project WestView was a true testament to the power of custom kitchen renovations. By working with our team at Total Living Concepts, the homeowners were able to transform their small, separated kitchen into their dream kitchen.
